Graduate Criminal Justice Program
Among the country’s 154 graduate criminal justice programs, Saint Joseph’s is one of the only two offering a concentration in law enforcement intelligence and crime analysis (LEICA). This concentration, along with the recently instituted concentration in federal law enforcement (FEDLEN), has placed Saint Joseph’s at the forefront of education in crime prevention, analytical techniques, and all aspects of federal criminal justice system. Additionally, a concentration in behavior management and justice, offered in conjunction with the University’s Graduate Health Education department, explores proactive and preventative clinical measures within the frame-work of criminal justice. The larger social view afforded in this interdisciplinary concentration, as well as in the restorative justice coursework included in the probation, parole and corrections concentration, is firmly tied to the university’s mission of social justice. This view accounts for the program’s outstanding reputation and the success of its graduates, some of whom bring their knowledge and expertise back to Saint Joseph’s as lecturers.
