Utilizing special talents and hobbies of parents as consultants to various programs. These include:
  • Computer Technician
  • Architect
  • Financial Analyst
  • Lawyer
  • Child Psychologist
Planning and implementing outside family events, such as our "Family Fun Days".
Assisting the Director with organization of phone lists, volunteers, and specific projets.
Providing assistance for outside events away from school.
Administering advice and suggestions in the area of program development.
Meetings
Meetings are held on the second tuesday of each month from 5:15 to 5:50 p.m. in the church. The association meets from August through May.
All parents and teachers are welcome to attend the meetings.  The director and one teacher are present at each meeting.
Leadership is on a rotating basis.  At each meeting, a parent volunteers to be the facilitator and/or the secretary for the following month.
Special Activities
Parent volunteers sponser the following programs for The Children's School:
The Children's School collects labels from various Campbell's Soup products.  These labels can be redeemed for merchandise used by our school.  If you want to help with this program, look for the Campbell's Soup collection box in the lobby of the school.  For more information about the program, visit the Labels For Education website.
Boxtops are collected from General Mills products.  These boxtops can be redeemed for cash to fund school activities.  If you'd like to help with this program, look for the Children's School Squares collection box in the lobby of the school.  For more information, visit the Boxtops For Education website.
