Political Science/International Relations Department Orientation.  Thursday, September 13 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.  LaFarge Lounge.  Want to know the ins and outs of the Political Science Department?  Thinking of declaring a Political Science or International Relations major?  If so, this orientation will tell you all you need to know.  Come, explore and ask questions to find out of this course of study is right for you. 

Sleepless at Saint Joseph's.  Wednesday, October 3 at 7:00 p.m.  LaFarge Lounge.  Presented by Dr. Jodi Mindell, Psychology Department.  Are you one of the 60 million Americans who is not getting enough sleep or having problems sleeping?  Did you know that lack of sleep has major implications for productivity, health and well-being?  Nationally-recognized sleep expert and Professor of Psychology at Saint Joseph's University, Dr. Jodi Mindell, will facilitate this program for students to learn the value of sleep while in college.  This program will teach students about the impact of sleeping patterns, ways to improve them and how to feel better the next day.  This also will be an excellent opportunity for students who are considering Psychology as a major to see first hand the impact the field of psychology can have on a real-life issue. 

Crash into Sociology.  Wednesday, October 17 at 7:00 p.m.  Sourin Lounge.  Presented by Fr. Rick Malloy, SJ, Sociology Department.  The movie Crash opened to critical and public acclaim for its inventiveness, its poignant message and its superb cast.  Students will have the opportunity at this event to watch Crash once again, but this time from the dual perspectives of sociology and diversity.  Fr. Malloy will engage participants in a discussion of the intersection of these two areas following the movie.
