Curriculum Vitae (CV)

Dr. Cummings joined the faculty at Saint Joseph's University in 2012. Prior to his arrival he was the Scholar in Residence at the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board). Previously, he worked as an instructor at Texas Tech University, and he also worked briefly for FJY Financial, a fee-only financial planning firm in Northern Virginia.

Dr. Cummings has completed award-winning research on the use and value of financial advice. He conducts research in behavioral household finance, agency costs of financial advice, and household intertemporal choice and portfolio allocation decisions.
