Dennis Weeks, M.F.A.
Dennis Weeks did his M.F.A. at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His early career included commercial work but his lifelong passion has been in fine arts photography. His work includes both digital photography and black and white and color photography. Although he worked for over ten years making straight black and white studio photographs his main interest is in combining images. You can see some of his work at http://www.sju.edu/~dweeks Currently he is making large panoramic images comprised of several hundred shots of people in cityscapes and landscapes. His work has been exhibited at the Maryland Institute, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Tyler School of Art, the Chicago ArtInstitute, Haverford College, Saint Joseph’s University as well as several commercial galleries.
His classes include Digital Photography I, Digital Photography II, Digital Photography III, Photography III and Light and Lighting. He also teaches America: Myths, Images, Realities in the Honors Program. His office is on the second floor of Boland Hall. He also served as president of the Faculty Senate for two years.
Dennis Weeks is also a proud alumnus of Saint Joseph’s University.
