Biography

Deron Albright is an independent filmmaker, screenwriter, and recipient of a 2008-2009 Fulbright Fellowship to Ghana. His recent short film, THE LEGEND OF BLACK TOM (2006), played at 24 festivals worldwide and garnered 12 “Best of” awards, and his feature screenplay based on the same material is currently under packaged development with ICM and writer John Briley (GHANDI, CRY FREEDOM). Albright was both Cinematographer and Co-Producer on Francisco Menendez’s Showtime Network program MEDIO TIEMPO (2001), and has produced a wide range of non-narrative work, from installation to documentary.

At present, Albright is in post-production on his Ghanaian feature, THE DESTINY OF LESSER ANIMALS – due for completion in mid 2010.
