Welcome to the graduate program in Nurse Anesthesia at Saint Joseph’s University and Nazareth Hospital. Nazareth Hospital is an award-winning and nationally recognized healthcare provider conveniently in Philadelphia and is part of the Mercy Health System and Catholic Health System. Nazareth offers a rich tradition of clinically excellent education that enables students to qualify for certification by the Council of Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
Collaboratively, we offer a comprehensive anesthesia curriculum that uniquely includes graduate coursework in health care administration, education, ethics, law, and research. Many of our nurse anesthesia graduates have gone on to assume health care leadership and entrepreneurial roles in the anesthesia arena. And as our nurse anesthesia training is hospital-based, Saint Joseph’s students uniquely receive personalized and nurturing clinical instruction from their own anesthesia department.
Our program, which is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, is distinguished and respected for its ability to offer excellent instruction, maintain rigorous expectations, and being fondly remembered by many alumni as an exceptional experience.
