The Saint Joseph's Writing Studies Program helped me transform myself, from someone who occasionally wrote into a writer. The professors, all accomplished writers prior to joining the faculty, offered the perfect balance of encouragement and critical analysis. There's no way I'd be where I am as a writer without having completed this program.

The Writing Studies program afforded me the opportunity to think about how I write and rewrite. As a prolific freelance journalist, I do not always get the luxury of time to do this. By taking courses in creative writing (poetry, fiction, memoir writing), journalism, and rhetoric, it has taken my writing to the next level. I've also become a better writing teacher which is allowing me to share what I love with another generation. Earning a master's degree from the Writing Studies program is both personally and professionally beneficial.
