Meredith Rossner received her PhD in Sociology and Criminology from the University of Pennsylvania. She teaches courses in both the Sociology department and the Graduate Program in Criminal Justice.
Her research interests include restorative justice, criminological theory, social interactions, and the sociology of emotions. She has conducted original research exploring the emotional dynamics and crime reduction potential of face-to-face meetings with offenders and victims of serious crime. More broadly, she is interested in how people think about, talk about, and create “justice” in our society.
