Certificate Program in Business Intelligence

Saint Joseph's University's Certificate Program in Business Intelligence offers working professionals the opportunity to gain valuable credentials in the field of business intelligence. This program educates participants to the field of business intelligence and the importance of integrating technology and quantitative skills into a relevant, functional business context. This ground-breaking program can be completed in as little as nine months, which consists of two academic semesters.

Additionally, the Certificate Program in Business Intelligence allows students the opportunity to earn graduate credits, which may then be applied to the Master of Science in Business Intelligence Program at Saint Joseph’s University. In order to be eligible for this unique opportunity, students must receive a grade of B or better for each of the four courses taken within the certificate program, as well as satisfy all admissions requirements for the Master of Science in Business Intelligence Program. Our Students

Students in the Certificate Program in Business Intelligence come from a number of industries and are current or aspirant leaders in the field of business intelligence. To be eligible to participate, applicants to the Certificate Program in Business Intelligence must supply the following:

  • Letter of intent
  • Official undergraduate transcripts showing an earned baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, with a minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Current resume

Students in the Certificate Program in Business Intelligence are accepted on a rolling-admissions basis. Course work begins every fall semester; therefore, all application materials are due anytime before June 30th. Mail all application documents to:

Curriculum

Students in the Certificate Program in Business Intelligence may choose from two distinct program tracks. Track I includes a core business intelligence specialization. Track II includes a specialization in Six Sigma, which qualifies participants to sit for the Six Sigma Green Belt Certification exam.

To complete the Certificate Program in Business Intelligence, participants are required to complete four designated courses (3 credits each) within a sequenced program. Each course is 3 credits, for a total of 12 credit hours. The program is designed to be completed in only nine months, which consists of two consecutive academic semesters.

Course Descriptions

Tuition and Fees

Students enrolled in the Certificate Program in Business Intelligence are charged on a per course basis. The 2009-2010 tuition is $2,448 per course ($816 per credit).
