Introduction to Campus Technology Resources
This resource guide has been designed as an aid for faculty members. It provides valuable contact information and a listing of current instructional technology resources on campus. Saint Joseph’s University is committed to providing state-of-the-art teaching facilities to its students and faculty. This resource provides a handy guide for faculty wanting to incorporate instructional technology into their teaching. The annual Technology Open House also provides a forum for faculty members to share concepts and ideas with other faculty who are currently using instructional technology.
Teaching and Technology
The most important issues in promoting the use of multimedia and computer enhanced instruction at Saint Joseph's University is faculty support and training. These needs led to the creation of the Faculty Development Committee. The committee has worked with ITDL to assist in training faculty in educational technology, in supplying assistance to the development of courseware, and to help faculty members stay abreast of the quickly changing technologies and software for the classroom. The committee also sponsors an annual technology open house where faculty members from across campus share their expertise and innovative implementation of instructional technologies.
Please contact the Instructional Designer, Al Labonis, at (610) 660-1772 or labonis@sju.edu with any questions about the Faculty Development Committee or if you want to discuss incorporating technology into the teaching/learning experience.
