The Mission of the Faculty Development Committee
- To enhance faculty awareness of the technology facilities available to them both on campus and in the classroom
- To keep faculty current on new technologies through colloquia
- To stimulate and support developmental activities related to educational technology and instructional media
- To provide a location for faculty to share resources and expertise
- To provide faculty with a dedicated multimedia computer lab with access to specialized software and equipment
- To offer technical assistance and individual instruction to faculty
- To assist faculty in the preparation of courses to be taught at a distance
- To assist faculty in the creation and development of instructional tools, web materials, classroom/computer lab presentations, and materials for distance education classes
