Is SJU

for you?

It just might

be if ...

You're not content to sit on the sidelines

You put 100 percent into everything you do (since 110 percent just isn't humanly possible)

You're not afraid to put your ideas out there- or to actively seek out the ideas of others

You love getting absorbed in a great book, a fascinating conversation, an important project or whatever it is that you're doing

You won't let a question rest until you've tracked down the answer

Your mind is quick, your commitment is strong and your enthusiasm is high

Your Next Steps as an international student…..

…if you have been admitted to Saint Joseph’s University:

  • Send in your deposit to ensure your space in the freshmen class.  You may deposit online or send a check to the Office of Admissions.
  • Be sure to get in touch with International Student Services in the Center for International Programs and make sure you have taken care of all necessary visa paperwork!  Contact Meryl Halpern or Jennifer Sommerkorn if you have visa questions.
  • Check mySJU frequently (you will be sent log-in information after you pay your deposit) to ensure you have taken care of all necessary paperwork before starting classes at SJU.  This includes completing your health form, your housing contract, your placement testing, and other very important tasks that can all be fulfilled online prior to your arrival on campus.  The mySJU portal contains necessary information for both new and current Saint Joseph’s university students.

…if you have been conditionally admitted to Saint Joseph’s University through the EPIS program:

  • Contact the Philadelphia ELS Center located on Saint Joseph’s University’s campus for information on enrolling.  You will also need to obtain an I-20 from ELS for your visa.
  • Once you have enrolled in ELS you will need to study there until completion of Level 112.  Upon completing Level 112, you will need to contact the Office of Admissions at SJU and inform them of your completion, as well as have the ELS Center send us a recommendation letter.  BE SURE TO NOTIFY THE SAINT JOSEPH’S UNIVERSITY OFFICE OF ADMISSIONS OF ANY ADDRESS CHANGES THROUGHOUT THIS PROCESS.
  • Upon notification that you have completed and passed ELS Level 112, the Office of Admissions at SJU will issue you a full acceptance letter.
