Is SJU

for you?

It just might

be if ...

You're not content to sit on the sidelines

You put 100 percent into everything you do (since 110 percent just isn't humanly possible)

You're not afraid to put your ideas out there- or to actively seek out the ideas of others

You love getting absorbed in a great book, a fascinating conversation, an important project or whatever it is that you're doing

You won't let a question rest until you've tracked down the answer

Your mind is quick, your commitment is strong and your enthusiasm is high

HOLA! GUTEN TAG. SALUT. HEI. NI HAO.

English Program for International Students:

International applicants who are academically qualified but do not demonstrate English language proficiency may be considered for conditional admission to Saint Joseph’s University through the English Program for International Students (EPIS).  These students will be offered conditional acceptance to the university; they will be required to complete ELS instruction through Level 112 and pass the Michigan test prior to enrolling at Saint Joseph’s University.  Saint Joseph’s University has an ELS center located on campus at which students may take these language courses.  EPIS students will need to contact ELS when they receive their offer of conditional admission from Saint Joseph’s University in order to obtain an ELS I20 form.  Upon completion of Level 112, and of passing the Michigan test, EPIS students will work with Saint Joseph’s University’s Center for International Programs to transfer their I20 and matriculate as a full-time undergraduate day student.

While ELS and Saint Joseph’s coordinate EPIS together, the two schools operate separately. EPIS students pay ELS for their English language classes and pay Saint Joseph’s University for any college level classes they take. Most EPIS students live in ELS housing at Saint Joseph’s while they are completing their English language requirements.  More information on ELS programs can be found at ELS Philadelphia.  For more information on the EPIS program, students may contact Saint Joseph’s University’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
