Courses Taught:

Research Interests:
An integrative approach (fossil and extant) to the study of chondrichthyan evolution and the relationships of the Chondrichthyes.  Emphasis is placed on the functional and developmental morphology of the cranium, suspensorium, mineralized tissues and the immune and vascular systems.   Studies in progress involve differentiation and evolution of the cranium,  development and mineralization of skeletal tissues, interrelationships of Paleozoic chondrichthyes, and early vertebrate evolution.
