A student’s committee or the graduate director may also approve other courses to count as part of a Masters Degree program.  This approval must be obtained before taking the course.  The student must register for the course at the graduate level; this will entail the student doing all of the course work expected of the undergraduate students plus an additional project to be arranged between the instructor and the student before the class begins.  The expectations for this additional project will be included in the written syllabus for the course.
