Kaitlin Petrella began working in
the Ustilago lab during the fall of her junior year (2001) as a
volunteer, and she signed up to do research for credit in the spring of
2002. Katilin is becoming our expert on the "side-by-side" assay,
used to study mating filament formation in wild-type and mutant strains.
She is currently analyzing mating behavior in several temperature-sensitive
strains.
