Make the most of your winter break by making these exciting employer visits, where you can learn about careers, make contacts for internships and jobs, improve your networking skills and meet other college students from across the Northeast. The program runs January 5-13, 2009. All majors and class years are welcome to explore careers in: PR and advertising, museums and non-profits, broadcast media, government and law enforcement, retail, fashion, finance and much more. This year's site include: Boston Museum of Science, Hoffman Homes (Littletown, Pa.), Medical Information Technology (Framingham, Mass.), New England Aquarium (Boston, Mass.), Partnership for a Drug Free America (New York, NY), Philadelphia Eagles/Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia Zoo, Random House (New York, NY), WB Mason (New York, NY), WHYY (Philadelphia, Pa.) and WXPN (Philadelphia, Pa.). Registration starts Tuesday, December 2 and ends December 12th. Limited spots are available, so register early. See the EACE Web site for more information on sites and registration.

William Henry Cardinal Keeler, J.C.D., D.D., Cardinal Archbishop Emeritus of Baltimore, will present a lecture on the date of the 50th anniversary of the calling of Vatican II as part of Saint Joseph's University's Catholic Intellectual Series. Cardinal Keeler, who trained at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood, Pa., and is a former resident of Bala Cynwyd, will specifically focus on the history of the papal document Nostra Aetate, which was written during the Second Vatican Council, and how it dramatically reshaped relations between Catholics and non-Christians. He served as an expert advisor at the council and is regarded as one of the foremost experts on the subject in the United States.

Food Marketing sophomores who are due to graduate in May 2011 are invited to attend the Genuardi Family Foundation Scholarship information session. Representatives from the Genuardi Family Foundation will offer the presentation and distribute applications. The award is a $10,000/yr. scholarship to be given in the recipients' junior and senior years.

Come to the Campus Ministry Weekly Community Service Orientation! Students can sign up to serve once a week in the local community with one of SJU's community partner organizations. Serve with people who are homeless, those with disabilities, tutor elementary school children, serve those who do not have health insurance, advocate for social justice, etc. Reflection with your service group is part of the weekly service program.

Join us as we begin the spring semester with an interfaith service highlighting the diverse cultures and faith traditions of our university community. During the service, the congregation will share inspirational readings, blessings, uplifting music, chants, and time for reflection. The service emphasizes both the common values and distinguishing features of the participating faiths. Instrumental and vocal music will be provided by student ensembles. Readings and blessings will be led by members of the SJU community. Refreshments will be served following the service.
