Economics Majors Monthly Meetings (EMMM)
Each month the Department of Economics invites its majors to a lunch meeting. Guest speakers are also invited to speak on a topic relevant to economics. Past speakers have included:
- Two economics alumni who graduated in 2003 who are currently enrolled in the Ph.D. program at Temple University.
- Several faculty members of the department spoke on their current research.
- Economics students who were presenting papers at the Ursinus Undergraduate ODE Conference offered their presentations at an EMMM.
- Opening the EMMM in the Fall 2005 semester were three students who had either studied abroad the previous semester or had an internship in Washington, DC.
- Possible future speakers include recent economics graduates (2004): one who is enrolled in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public Policy, Princeton University, another who is currently in the JVC (Jesuit Volunteer Corps) and one who will be in the second year of law school at Georgetown University.
