Accessing Audio Exercises On-line
These audio exercise files are supplemental to the material in your language textbooks. You can download the audio exercises if you meet all the following criteria:
- You are enrolled in one of the language courses listed below.
- Your computer meets the minimum system requirement listed below.
- Your computer has an Internet connection.

How to download the audio files:
For Mac Users- Make sure that your Mac meets the minimum system requirement listed above.
- Go to the Foreign Languages and Literatures Language Lab web site.
- Click on the name of the course, for example, "First Year French."
- If you wish to listen to the file immediately, simply click on the desired file. You will be prompted to type the username and password. Use the username and password that your instructor gave you for the course. Then click Login. The audio file will be played.
If you wish to listen to the file later and save it, you can hold down the option key and click on the file. You will be prompted to type the username and password. Use the username and password that your instructor gave you for the course. Then click Login. The audio file will be downloaded onto your desktop. For Macs running OS X, the audio file will be downloaded to your User folder (or other designated download folder) and will appear with an iTunes icon. - Once you have downloaded the file, create and name a new folder on your desktop, then drag the file you just downloaded to this folder.
- Drag (or copy) this folder to the location on your hard drive from which you plan access it regularly.
- Make sure that your PC meets the minimum system requirement listed above.
- Go to the Foreign Languages and Literatures Language Lab web site at: http://www.sju.edu/cas/flan/audio/audio_ex.html
- Check to see if you have the winamp3 software, if you don't, click here to download the winamp software. MP3 files will also work with the Windows Media Player and QuickTime for PC.
- Click on the name of the course, for example, "First Year French."

If you wish to listen to the file later and save it, you can you can Right-click on the audio file you wish to download and choose "Save Target As" to save it so you can listen to it later. You will be prompted to type the username and password. Use the username and password that your instructor gave you for the course. Then click OK. Make sure you save it to a desired folder (create a new folder if necessary). Leave the filename as is and under "Save File Type" choose "winamp media file"
- Who can have access to these audio files?
- Can I download these files if I live off campus?
- How do I access these audio files if I don't have a computer at home?
- You can go to the Language Resource Center in Bellarmine Room 315 during the evening hours.
- Or you can use any of the computer lab facilities on campus, such as SC129, or Post 201 to access the audio files.
- You can also request a CD of the audio exercises from Ms. Lindsay Dragon iin Bellarmine Room 316, which is located behind Room 315. Then use the lab computer to listen to the audio files.

Any student who is enrolled in the above mentioned classes is eligible to download these audio files
Yes. Any student who is enrolled in the language courses listed above and who has a computer that meets the minimum requirement with an Internet connection will be able to download the audio exercise files.
You can do the following:
You must have the necessary hardware and software to download the files. Check the minimum system requirement on our web page to successfully download the audio files.
