Physics major with mathematics minor
(taking physics in freshman year)
“GER” stands for any of the courses you take to satisfy the General Education Requirement. The required major courses PHY 1051-1061 and MAT 1351-1361 satisfy the Natural Science and Mathematics parts of the GER, so they and the other 16 give you the 20 you need.
“PHY REQ” stands for whichever of the required upper-level physics courses are being given in that particular semester.
“PHYS EL” stands for any of the three physics electives you need for the major.
“EL” stands for a free elective.
