The Counseling Center promotes the psychological well-being of the SJU community through preventive programming and therapeutic interventions. The Counseling Center provides individual and group counseling, workshops, guest lectures, referral services, consultation and training at no cost to students.

The Recreation Office sponsors instructional programs, special events, an extensive intramural program, sports club offerings, and an outdoor recreation program. The Recreation program reinforces the educational mission of SJU, which emphasizes development of the total person Spirit, Mind and Body. Experiences gained through participation provide a base of knowledge and skills necessary to function responsibly in society. The Recreation component of the Athletic Department strives to identify, schedule, promote, and implement a diverse offering of activities, which facilitate this educational mission.
