Welcome to the Finance Department homepage. The major in Finance examines the role and operation of the financial sector of the economy in order to develop an understanding of the financial function in business and the management of assets and liabilities by both financial institutions and individuals.

The department offers five tracks within the major; General, Managerial, Investments, Personal Financial Planning, and Insurance and Risk Management. For more detailed information on each, including course requirements, click on the finance track link at the left of the page.

This major is intended to prepare students for professional positions with banking institutions, finance, departments of business enterprises, insurance companies, and investment companies.
