An associate professor of marketing, Dr. Diane Phillips, has been at Saint Joseph's since 1997 and has taught in the undergraduate, graduate and executive programs. She received her B.S. in Marketing from Penn State University, her M.S. in marketing from Texas A&M University and returned to Penn State University for her Ph.D. in marketing. Dr. Phillips' research is focused in the areas of consumer psychology, consumer behavior and advertising effectiveness. Recently, she has researched the issues of creating and predicting customer satisfaction, incorporating consumer emotions into models of consumer perceptions, assessing consumer reactions to various advertising stimuli, and exploring how many of these issues can impact public policy.

David Allan, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Marketing. Dr. Allan brings to his academic and consulting work the resources that are earned from an extraordinary twenty year plus career in radio broadcasting. Allan has been published in such journals as the Journal of Advertising Research, International Journal of Advertising, and Advertising & Society Review. Allan has also been featured in numerous media outlets including NBC, Comcast, Philadelphia Inquirer, Washington Post, ChicagoTribune, Billboard Magazine, Radio and Records.

Michael R. Solomon, Ph.D. is Professor of Marketing and Director of the Center for Consumer Research. Prof. Solomon's primary research interests include consumer behavior and lifestyle issues, branding strategy, the symbolic aspects of products, the psychology of fashion, decoration, and image, services marketing and the development of visually-oriented online research methodologies. He has published numerous articles on these and related topics in academic journals, and he has delivered invited lectures on these subjects in The United Kingdom, Scandinavia, Australia, Asia, and Latin America.

Brent Smith is an assistant professor and primarily teaches courses in international marketing and marketing strategy. He combines his expertise in marketing management with his real-world international experiences to offer an exciting and innovative classroom experience at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels. Dr. Smith started his educational journey in New Orleans at Xavier University and Tulane University. He later obtained his PhD from Drexel University. Now at Saint Joseph's University, Dr. Smith’s primary research areas of interest are in cross-cultural issues, marketing management, channel optimization, leadership and customer relationship management.

Julie V. Stanton, Ph.D. (University of Maryland) is Assistant Professor of Marketing. Her expertise is in consumer interest in organic and other niche foods, and in food marketing channels between developing and developed country markets. Dr. Stanton has published in journals such as Research in Consumer Behavior, Journal of Consumer Behaviour, Supply Chain Management, and Journal of Food Products Marketing. She is an active participant in the Macromarketing Conference and the Marketing and Public Policy Conference among others.
