The Instructional Media Center (IMC), located on the ground floor of the Science Center, Room 129, offers multimedia, video, audiovisual, and videoconferencing support to the community at Saint Joseph's University. The Center contains a 35 seat classroom, an editing booth for audio and video editing, and media carrels for individual viewing. These facilities are available for class sessions or audiovisual production. Please call the IMC at x1770 for reservations. The IMC houses a collection of nearly 1,700 titles in different formats. The titles are available to faculty for use in class and to students to use at the IMC or for in class use. The Center provides assistance in the production of video and audio tapes for classroom presentation as well as assistance in the creation of projected image or computer generated presentations. Recognizing that faculty training and support is pivotal to the full integration of technology into the learning process, Saint Joseph's University and the IMS Provides the Faculty Development Center. Located in Mandeville Hall, the Center staff will train faculty in the use of multimedia and distance learning technologies, supply assistance in the development of courseware and keep the University community up to date in the quickly changing technology for the classroom.
