Apply for Financial Aid
So, you received your red envelope and now you need to know the financial facts to living greater at SJU. Every student who submits an application to Saint Joseph's is automatically considered for merit scholarships. We also offer a number of academic and achievement scholarships. You also may be eligible for need-based grants, loans, and federal work study programs. To be considered for need based financial assistance you must fill out and complet the FAFSA. All admitted students will automatically receive a financial aid award packet from Saint Joseph's at the end of March.

If you haven't already, complete the FAFSA (Free Applicationfor Federal Student Aid). Our school code is 003367 and our preferred filing date is February 15.
- New for the 2013–2014 Aid Year FAFSA: When filling out the FAFSA you will be prompted to link to the IRS website, which will display your tax information and give you the option of transferring the data to your FAFSA. We recommend taking advantage of the IRS Data Retrieval option if you and/or your parents have filed your 2012 taxes prior to completing the FAFSA. If you are selected for verification and opted out of the IRS Data Retrieval process, you will have to submit an IRS tax transcript directly from the IRS to complete the federal verification process.
- The IRS Data Retrieval option is only available after February 1.
