Application Deadlines for International Graduate Applicants

Fall (August)	Priority deadline for consideration April 15 ; The date international applicants residing out of country may submit a complete application for consideration is July 1st.
Spring (January)	Priority deadline: October 15; The last date international applications residing out of country may submit a complete application for consideration is Nov. 1st.
Summer (May)	Graduate Studies does offer admission to international students for all programs with the exception of the Ed.D. Doctoral Program in the summer term.

SPECIAL DEADLINES

Ed.D. in Educational Leadership	Priority deadline for consideration: March 1st; Applications for international students residing out of country will be considered until April 1. Ed.D. cohort starts once per year in July.
MS Biology	Applicants for Fall admission are strongly encouraged to apply by March 15. The M.S. Biology Program admits students in the fall only.
MS Computer Science (no summer start)	Fall (August) July 15, Spring (January) November 15
MS Psychology*	Priority Deadline: March 1st; Applications will be considered on rolling basis until May 1st. The M.S. Psychology program admits students for the fall semesters only.

* The MS Psychology program admits new students in the Fall Semester only. The Ed.D. in Educational Leadership admits students on a cohort schedule. Please visit the program pages for further information

INTERNATIONAL APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

International applicants (seeking or holding non-immigrant visas) intending degree-seeking study must complete and submit the Application Form, along with all credentials and the required $35 USD application fee directly to the Graduate Admissions Office.

Credential/Document Evaluations - International applicants are not required to submit a credentials evaluation; transcript evaluations will be performed by Graduate Operations. However, applicants already possessing a course-by-course evaluation of their transcripts are encouraged to submit this in place of original transcripts. For those who do not possess a course-by-course evaluation, an official record of all college and university academic studies and results of state and/or national examinations taken are required. Academic records must include the name of each individual course, the grade earned, and the grading scale used. Documents must be submitted in one's native language with an official English translation. The Graduate Operations Office performs all international credential evaluations. Foreign documents, credentials and transcripts must be official (sealed and sent directly from the institution). Only originals or photocopies officially stamped and attested by a school official (Registrar, Principal, or Controller of Examinations) are accepted. Faxes, scanned or notarized copies or copies attested by a department head cannot be accepted as official. All credentials submitted to the Graduate Operations Office become property of the University and cannot be returned.

Standardized Test Scores - Official test score reports - TOEFL, IELTS, GRE, GMAT, etc. (only necessary if required by program) - must be sent directly to Saint Joseph's University. Our TOEFL & GRE code is 2801. Our MAT code is 1663. Our GMAT codes are as follows:

English Proficiency - Applicants must provide evidence of English proficiency if their native spoken language is not English. Fulfillment of any one of the following requirements will satisfy English language proficiency requirements.

Proof of English language proficiency:

• Submission of one of the following: TOEFL paper-based score of 550, computer-based score of 213, or internet-based score of 79; or IELTS score of 6.5. (For more information visit www.ielts.org)
• Successful completion of Level 112 of the intensive program at an approved ELS Center accompanied by a letter of recommendation from the Academic Director. For information on the Saint Joseph's ELS Center visit www.sju.edu/els . To find a listing of ELS Centers visit www.els.edu.
• An interview may be required for marginal applicants in order to grant full admission.

ELS Center - The ELS Center, located on the main campus of Saint Joseph's University, is one of over 40 ELS locations in the United States. Students may submit proof of completion of ELS Level 112 from any ELS Center in the United States or overseas to satisfy SJU English language proficiency requirements.  GRADUATE INTERNATION APPLICATION CHECKLIST

1.     Completed Application Form with $35 application fee.  Online Application Form.

2.     Official transcripts/credentials of all college and university academic course work in English and your native language.

3.     Proof of English proficiency.

4.     Personal Statement: a letter of intention or outline of one's professional goals and educational objectives for attending the university.

5.     Two letters of recommendation.

7.     Official GRE or GMAT score report, if required by your program.
