Welcome to Fish Cam, an on-line site that allows you and your students to participate in the behavioral research we do in the Biodiversity Lab. Fish Cam displays an experimental test tank, like the ones we use in our research on shoaling behavior in fish. We will design experiments and you and your students can visit the site and collect data from real fish displayed in real time. We will change the test fish and the experimental set-up regularly (as described in the Fish Cam Calendar) to enable you and your students to complete entire experiments, gain experience in data collection, and work with us to analyze your data. We hope that this project (initiated in the spring of 2010) will become a regular resource for science teaching in schools around the world.
