Brian Dupperault was a mathematics major. He became an actuary and is now the chief executive of a New York insurance company.

George T. DeCecco (1966)
Mr. DeCecco was named Manager, Operations Analysis for Boeing Helicopters in 1996. In his current assignment he has responsibility for the administration and technical management of the Operations Analysis organization in support of Business Development. His efforts are focused on ensuring the conduct of effective studies & analyses and the delivery of products that support the strategic plans of the Director of Business Development. He also provides studies & analysis support to internal Boeing program/project management and to external customer communities (military and civil) in their requirements definition and product acquisition decision processes.

Mr. DeCecco joined the Boeing Company in 1966 as Associate Engineer, R&D Dynamics. In that position he worked on the analysis of vibration and aeroelastic phenomena in support of concept development for advanced (tilt wing/tilt rotor) aircraft. This included the development of predictive computer codes for design support and their validation through wind tunnel testing.

In 1969 he moved to Systems and Operations Analysis and progressed through a series of assignments from Staff Analyst to Senior Operations Analyst. In these positions he was responsible for the design, development and implementation of methods and models. His efforts were consistently directed toward decision support systems for management and toward systems/studies used to support military and commercial customers. Problem areas included transportation analysis and competitive market analysis for Boeing rotorcraft products/programs.

In 1985 he became Manager of Analysis and Strategic Requirements and was responsible for managing the development of technical methods/models and for their application to studies & analyses in support of New Business Development. In this position his efforts were aimed at solving problems in the areas of customer requirements, comparative cost and operational effectiveness analyses (COEAs) and the analysis of product competitiveness in the marketplace.

In 1990 he was appointed Manager, Systems & Operations Analysis with responsibility for Studies and Analyses in support of Business Development and Planning. In 1996 his responsibilities were broadened to include the full range of Market and Competitor issues and his position title was briefly Manager, Strategic Analysis; it was changed to Manager, Operations Analysis to be more generally recognizable to his internal and external customer communities. In 2002 Mr. DeCecco was promoted to Second Level Management in recognition of his increased responsibilities and career achievements.

Mr. DeCecco received the Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Saint Joseph.s University and the Master of Arts degree in Mathematics from Villanova University. He is author of several technical reports and publications and his professional affiliations include the Military Operations Research Society (MORS) and the Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA).

Michael C. Finn (1969)
B.S. in mathematics; After receiving an MS degree in Mathematics in 1971 from Purdue University, Mr. Corbett pursued a career in government, and accepted early retirement in September 2004 from the Social Security Administration. John D. Zook (1971)
John ("Jack") Zook is the founder and managing director of the firm and combines over twenty five years of diversified experience. His primary responsibilities include business structuring, profitability analysis, acquisition due diligence, entity selection and general tax and business planning.

Prior to founding Zook, Dinon & Roman, P.A. in 1979, Jack was a member of the audit staff of the international accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly Coopers & Lybrand) and served as an industry specialists for utilities and hospitals. He was also a financial analyst with Bell Atlantic (formerly Bell of Pennsylvania).

For over the past twenty years Jack has been a full-time faculty member in the accounting department at La Salle University. As an assistant professor, he has taught financial and managerial accounting and taxation at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. His articles have been published in a number of professional journals including the CPA Journal, Taxation for Lawyers, Taxation for Accountants, Personal Financial Planning and the Ohio CPA Journal. He has been quoted in such publications as Financial World and Success magazine.

Jack holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Drexel University and a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from St. Joseph's University. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida. He is a member of the American Institute, the New Jersey Society, the Pennsylvania Institute and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Currently, Jack serves as Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors for the Delaware Valley Habitat for Humanity, and as Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors for the Union League of Philadelphia.

Stephen Yarmolyk, Jr.(1972)
B.S. in Mathematics; Mr. Yarmolyk has served in the capacity of Vice President of Contracts and Group Counsel for Titan Corporation’s National Intelligence Solutions Group in Annapolis Junction MD since January 2004. In this capacity, Mr. Yarmolyk is responsible for overseeing contract, subcontract, procurement and in-house legal activities. He directs participation in proposals, procurements, pre-negotiation activities, negotiation strategies, legal issue resolutions, intellectual property matters, software licensing and complete contract and subcontract administration and closeout. Prior to joining Titan, Mr. Yarmolyk was employed for over 17 years at Computer Sciences Corporation, where he held various positions in Contracts and Procurement, rising to the position of Director of Contracts, Defense Group.

Mr. Yarmolyk is married and has one son. He has a BS in Mathematics from Saint Joseph’s University, and MBA from Temple University Graduate School of Business and a JD from Temple University School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in PA and NJ.

Richard J. Brennen (1976)
Rich was a mathematics major at St. Joe's. After earning an MBA at Temple University, he joined IBM, where he spent 16 years in various sales, general management, and consulting roles. In 1993, he moved to Chicago, when he joined Spencer Stuart, one of the largest executive search firms in the world. For past several years, Rich has led a global Information Technology practice and has recruited the Chief Information Officers for some of the largest companies in the world including United Airlines, Dell Computer, Visa, etc. He is also a member of the board of directors. Anthony A. DeMarco
Mr. DeMarco is the President and Managing Member of PRICE Systems L.L.C., a privately held company in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. PRICE is the world leader in Parametric Planning, Estimating, and Budgeting tools and services with clients in the North America, South America, Europe, and the Pacific Rim. PRICE introduced the first commercially available Hardware and Software Cost Estimating Models in 1975 and attained its industry leading position through dedication to speed, quality and customer satisfaction.

Mr. DeMarco received a Bachelors degree in Mathematics from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a Masters degree in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, NJ.

Since joining PRICE Systems in 1981, Mr. DeMarco's accomplishments have included the development of the PRICE electronics cost model (PRICE M), major enhancements to the PRICE hardware model (PRICE H), and the personal computer program XPERT/H. As PRICE Product Development Manager for several years, Mr. DeMarco led a team of operations researchers, logisticians and computer scientists in the development of parametric models and tools to serve the cost estimating and analysis community. During his tenure as the leader of PRICE Systems, PRICE migrated its tools to desktop and client/server computing platforms and has introduced several new services including professional services, tailored on-site training, PRICE Enterprise and the PRICE Knowledge Manager.

Mr. DeMarco is a recognized expert and frequent speaker on predictive parametric modeling and has published many papers on the subject. In 1997, Mr. DeMarco received the highest honor bestowed by the International Society of Parametric Analysts (ISPA), the Freiman Award. In 2001, NASA Administrator Daniel S. Goldin appointed Mr. DeMarco to serve on the International Space Station Management and Cost Evaluation Task Force (IMCE) to help NASA address cost growth on the program by assessing the quality of the ISS cost estimates as well as program assumptions and requirements, and by identifying high-risk budget areas and potential risk mitigation strategies.

In 1998, Mr. DeMarco led the management buyout of the PRICE Systems business unit from the Lockheed Martin Corporation to form PRICE Systems, L.L.C. PRICE is now an independent employee-owned business dedicated to helping enterprises sustain profitable growth through faster, better planning, estimating and budgeting.

Angela Pawlowski (1986)
Angela was a computer science major and is also a graduate of our master's program. She now works as the Manager of the AI Programs at Lockheed Martin Advanced Technology Group. Patrick Ryan (1990)
Pat (pmryan@acm.org) was a computer science major and also a graduate of our master's program in CSC. Since 1990, Pat has been working as a professional software developer. He has been working for several years as a consultant for Object Systems Group (www.osgcorp.com). His expertise is in object-oriented software development, primarily in the use of Smalltalk and Java.

Joseph "Pidge" Pedano (1998)
B.S. in Computer Science with minor in Mathematics. Pidge is currently the Manager of Product Development for FASTNET, Inc. a regional Internet company based in Bethlehem, PA. Before FASTNET, he worked at Comcast Business Communications, where he was the Manager of Data Engineering and Performance Management. At CBC, his responsibilities include handling Tier 4 issues escalated from the NOC and the performance management of both CBC's Internet Backbone and private data connectivity network. He is well versed in networking technologies, Internet topologies, and industry-best operations practices, as he has supported many companies over the past 10 years. This experience enabled him to become the youngest Manager at CBC. While not working, he coaches a little league inline hockey team and is captain of a roller hockey team in Pottstown, PA.
