The M.S. in Education leading to certification in Special Education is designed for students who already have a level I certification in Elementary or Secondary Education in Pennsylvania and would like to be highly qualified to teach students with special needs. The program requires a total of 36 graduate education credits of coursework (18 credits for certification and 18 more credits to complete the Master's program). Upon completion, students are eligible to take the appropriate Pennsylvania PRAXIS exam and apply for certification.
