With the co-sponsorship from Pennsylvania Holocaust Education Council, we are once again proud to offer a 1-day Teachers’ Institute on Sunday, March 7, 2010 on the campus of Saint Joseph’s University, Mandeville Hall (City Ave. & 54
th St.). We are fortunate to welcome Key Presenters in the field with discussion and interaction to create and generate new approaches, ideas and lesson plans in Holocaust education for the teacher’s immediate use in the classroom. This year’s Program, Integrating Themes of Rescue and Resistance into the Teaching of the Holocaust and other Genocides, will showcase various visual techniques, including utilizing actual survivor stories to a hands-on teachers’ workshop for the award-winning film, Defiance.
Upon completion, a Certificate for 8 hours of Act 48 credits will be presented. Lunch, Refreshments & Various Teaching Materials are included in the $15.00 Registration Fee – Pre-Registration is Required.
