Where to Stay

There are two main options for lodging.  On-campus apartments are available in Borgia Hall, located at 5320 City Avenue, near the heart of campus.   All units are two-bedroom apartments with one and one-half bathrooms and kitchen facilities.  Linens and towels are provided.  Rates for the apartments are as follows:

One-person occupancy $60 per night (plus a one-time $20 housekeeping fee)
Two-person occupancy $45 per night (plus a one-time $20 housekeeping fee)
Four-person occupancy $35 per night (plus a one-time $20 housekeeping fee)

Since all units are two-bedroom apartments, four-person occupancy means that you will be sharing a bedroom with another person.

Apartments are available until all units have been booked.  Reservations for on-campus apartments should be made on-line, through the same on-line site used for conference registration.

A second option is the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue located at 4200 City Avenue, about a mile and a half east of campus.  A block of rooms is being held at a special conference rate of $119 per night for a room with one King bed.  To receive the special rate, identify yourself as a participant in the International Social Philosophy Conference when making your reservation.  Be advised that the discounted blocked rooms will be released on July 12.  The phone number for the Hilton is 215-879-4000.  The hotel has also provided a website for conference reservations:

Public transportation (SEPTA bus 65) makes stops at campus and near the Hilton.  SJU will provide limited van service to and from the hotel in the mornings and evenings during the conference.
