FMK 353 Transitions (3 credits)

This course is designed to allow food marketing seniors as well as fourth and fifth year coop students to make the transition from academia to careers. The class will be devoted to topics related to making a successful transition to the world of business. At the conclusion of the course students will have demonstrated proficiencies in resume development; career search procedures; communications and presentation skills (including interviewing skills); team building; expectations, performance, and process management; workplace diversity; stress, time, and change management; personal financial planning; supervisory skills; negotiations; and lifelong learning.
