PHY 311 Experimental Methods of Physics I (2 credits)

Laboratory intensive with some lecture. A broad exposure to instrumentation and techniques of experimental physics. Focus on electromagnetism, electronics, optics, and fundamental ideas from modern physics. Emphasis placed on written and oral communication skills and team work. One three-hour laboratory meeting per week.

Prerequisite: PHY 251.
