Describe your impression of your time at UAH and in Chile:
UAH is truly a program like no other. In a couple of months you will be accustomed to whole new way of life, the Chilean way, which will have an influence on the rest of your life. You will have the experience to live with and go to class with Chilean natives and with some effort really submerse yourself in their lifestyle. You can expect to leave feeling like Chile is more life your second home than just “the place you studied abroad” while learning so much about yourself along the way.
How was the experience of studying the language in the classroom (in high school or in college) prior to studying abroad different from the experience of studying the language in and outside of the classroom once you were abroad?
The best part of the UAH program was the exposure to the language. Whether you have been speaking Spanish your whole life or are a novice will be new. The program is set up to push you out of your comfort zone and keep the English speaking to a minimum.
