Describe your most memorable experience while abroad.

My most memorable experience wasn’t just one thing. There were several experiences I had. I had great sailing around the beautiful Whitesunday Islands which are considered on the top beaches in the world. I had an amazing time scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef. I also got to sky dive right before seeing the Great Barrier Reef. I also had the chance to travel to the Australian Outback and check the unique landscape. I also had the opportunity to vist Tasmania which is a beautiful state of Australia.  Everyday was memorable for me.

What did you learn to love about the culture(s)?

I loved their passion for life and how crazy they are. They are also really laid back. I loved hanging out with them when I went on a surf trip. It was a lot of fun learning all of their different customs. All of the Australians were really nice and always helpful.

What is one piece of advice you would pass on to a student who is about to study abroad?

Don’t be afraid to do things. You will always regret the things you don’t do. I made sure to do as many things as possible. Even if I had to do a lot planning and work, I made sure to get it done. It was always worth it and I’m glad I did it.
