So you’ve decided to spend a semester or year abroad? You have come to the right place! Whether you are a SJU student, parent, or faculty, involved in the process of studying abroad, the Center for International Programs is here to support you!
We are pleased to offer students 34 unique programs in 19 different countries. We aid students through the research and application process. We provided resources and information to parents and we work with faculty to advise students on how to make the most of their academic exposure abroad!
Thinking of Studying Abroad in Spring 2014? The Center for International Programs just approved our 34th program in Prague, Czech Republic!!
Students attend classes in the Schebek Palace at Charles University. Students take 5 courses (taught in English except for Czech Language) for a total of 15-16 academic credits. This program works well for Political Science, International Relations, History and Economics major, but students of all majors are encouraged to apply!
In addition to classes, UPCES students can apply for a variety of non-credit, unpaid internships related to their field of study or personal interests. UPCES currently has internships available in the following organizations in Prague: Firefly Branding (Marketing), Park Lane International School (Teaching) International School of Prague (Teaching), CEELI Institute (non-profit/Law)
Housing, orientation, and cultural immersion are included in the program, featuring many field trips throughout the Czech Republic and Central Eastern Europe.
