If you are more interested in a non-SJU summer or winter program, you should review the Non-SJU Summer & Winter Study Abroad Procedures, which vary slightly from the regular semester abroad policy.
To begin researching possible program options, we suggest www.studyabroad.com or www.iiepassport.org. You can also make an appointment at the Center for International Programs with the Study Abroad Advisor if you have any questions, or to learn where SJU students have gone in the past.
Students can choose any accredited summer or winter study abroad program, as long as they complete the Non-SJU Summer & Winter Study Abroad Application.
- Winter Programs: October 1st
- Summer Programs: March 1st
Students must submit the Non-SJU Study Abroad Application to the Center for International Programs, where we will review your SJU transcript and disciplinary status.
Students must submit the Non-SJU Study Abroad Credit Approval Form to the appropriate Department Chairs and Academic Deans to have their courses taken abroad transfer back to Saint Joseph’s University:
- Business courses: Approved by the Department Chair
- College of Arts and Science courses: Approved by the Academic Associate Dean
Once the (2) forms have been returned to the CIP, we will review your application and inform you if you are accepted to study abroad within 1-2 weeks.
After you have gained approval, you may submit all required application materials and program deposits and fees to your chosen Non- SJU Study abroad program.
