Learning Institute

Welcome

WE ARE MAKING CHANGES!!

The Learning Institute is still in transition and unable to offer courses for the Summer 2013 session.  Please check back in August for Fall offerings.

The Learning Institute Presents proven ways to increase success in your classroom... while earning 3 graduate credits!
Learning Institute methods put you in charge so you can teach more effectively - starting Day One.

WHY THE LEARNING INSTITUTE?
Our programs are well researched and professionally developed. Our consultants, many of whom have presented across the United States and internationally, are of the highest caliber. They're outstanding course facilitators with excellent credentials both in content area and presentation.

sjuHOW YOU WILL LEARN...
When you join us, you'll take part in hands-on activities so you can master new techniques before you return to your classroom. You'll observe demonstrations and join in group sharing. A free Resource and Activity Binder will be your guide throughout the course. Just as important, you'll have a chance to exchange ideas with colleagues from the most respected schools in the Philadelphia area.

EARN GRADUATE CREDIT...
Three graduate credits* are awarded by Saint Joseph's University upon completion of each 2 weekend course. Saint Joseph's University is one of 28 Jesuit colleges and universities in the United States and is on a beautiful campus located in the heart of the Philadelphia area. The university is dedicated to the Jesuit ideal of "further development of those people who wish to serve society" and has awarded degrees since 1898.

In PA... these credits are applicable toward the 6 college credits required by Act 48.

In NJ...these credit/hours are applicable to the 100 hours of professional development required every five years by state regulations (Provider #1132)

COURSE REQUIREMENTS...
Graduate credits are awarded after 100% attendance and successful completion of all course work and a research paper/course project, which is due three weeks after the course ends. The paper is 5-10 pages in length and is designed to be an "action plan" incorporating the strategies learned in the course, for use in your classroom.

USE YOUR COURSE AS A TAX DEDUCTION...
As an educator, your tuition, meals, travel and lodging expenses may qualify as deductible education expenses under the 1986 Tax Reform Act.

* Credit is approved by the PA Department of Education, for permanent certification, Master's Equivalency and Act 48.

All courses run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Tuition is listed on the registration page
