FAQs

How many MS Marketing courses do I need to take to earn my degree?
The MS in Marketing Program requires 10 courses (30 credits) to earn your degree.

Do I have to choose a specialization or can I mix and match courses?
Students are required to select a specialized focus for their degree: International Marketing or Customer Analytics and Insights. Each specialization provides five courses customized to that spacialization. In order to graduate, students must complete all five courses within that speicialization. A student may choose to have a second specialization, which would require the completion of an additional five courses (15 courses total to earn the degree with two speicializations). 
 
Do I have to finish the MS Marketing Program in one year?
No. Students can attend class on a full-time or a part-time basis, depending on their individual situation. As a part-time student, you can take up to six years to complete the program. Many full-time students complete the program in one year, taking courses in the fall, spring, and summer semesters. However, some students extend the time to completion to two years.
 
If I am a non-business major, can I apply to the program?
Yes, the MS in Marketing program accepts students from all undergraduate majors. For students who do not have an undergraduate business degree, foundation business courses may be required. Each prosepctive student's undergraduate transcirpt is reviewed for possible foundation waivers. The foundaiton courses are: Principles of Marketing, Financial Accounting, Managerial Economics, and Financial Management.
 
When do the classes meet?
Most classes are held in the evening, starting at 6:30 PM. Each 3-credit course meets one night per week. Some on-campus classes may be held in the afternoon starting at 4:30.

Are classes held online or on-campus?
The five core classes can be taken either online or on-campus. The International Marketing specialization classes are held on-campus. The Customer Analytics and Insights classes are held online.

Do you accept the GMAT or GRE exam?
Both the GMAT and GRE exam are accepted. There is also an opportunity for a GMAT/GRE exam waiver.

Prospective students may petition for a GMAT/GRE waiver based on a variety of criteria, including:

  • High academic achievement
  • Professional certifications
  • Progressive work experience
  • Completion of Masters or terminal degree

How much will the program cost?
For 2016-2017 academic year, tuition is $1003/credit or $3,009/course. In addition to tuition, students specializing in Inernational Marketing are required to particiapte in a study tour with additional travel costs over and above the cost of tuition. Average study tour costs are about $4,000.
