Presented by the Academy of Risk Management and Insurance
Leadership positions held by women are significantly lacking at the most senior levels across the insurance industry according to the Saint Joseph's University study on Gender Diversity. While there are differences across segments of the industry, and there are encouraging signs of slight progress, there is still a large gap between men and women in the C-Suite, Board of Directors, and Officer positions occupied by women. “Women in Insurance” symposium, presented by Academy of Risk Management and Insurance at Saint Joseph's University, brings together many talented, senior professionals in the insurance industry to talk about their careers, obstacles, and successes. Our panelists represent many different viewpoints and functions within the insurance industry including, Accounting, Actuarial, Claims, Executive, Legal, Human Resources, Sales, and Underwriting. The advice and guidance from these leaders transcends gender, and can be applied to any function in any industry.
