Overview of the Honors Program Student Council
The Honors Program Student Council (HPSC) was established in 2005 with the help of the University Student Senate. Recognizing the need for greater unity among honors students and the organized expression of their questions and concerns led to the formation of this student organization. The HPSC consists of a steering committee made up of a president and two co-chairs, as well as a general committee of all interested honors students wishing to partake in the realization of the goals of the HPSC. In the past year, the HPSC has been influential in the identification of several key areas of concern among honors students, acting as a conduit between the administration and all honors students, and channeling the ideas of the administration and the students into a more cohesive and workable setup.
