Creating Persistent Links to The ACM Digital Library
Follow these 3 simple steps to create Persistent Links to ACM Digital Library resources:
  1. Search The ACM Digital Library and click on the article title of interest.
  2. On the resulting screen look for and copy the DOI Bookmark (Digital Object Identifier).
  3. Final Important Step:
    Access to the persistent link articles in EBSCOhost is restricted to currently registered SJU students, faculty and staff.  SJU users on campus will require no additional validation.  However, faculty who use these links in their Blackboard site, eCollege site or on their syllabus MUST alter the link so that the Proxy Server authentication will be triggered when a student clicks on the link.

     Simply prepend the doi with the following:http://ezproxy.sju.edu/login?url=

For example, to create a persistent link to a record in The ACM Digital Library.

1. Search The ACM Digital Library and click on the article title of interest.


2. On the resulting screen look for and copy the DOI (Digital Object Identifier).


3. Final Important Step---
Simply prepend the doi with the following:http://ezproxy.sju.edu/login?url=

In our example the link http://doi.acm.org/10.1145/1331897.1331901

becomes    

http://ezproxy.sju.edu/login?url=http://doi.acm.org/10.1145/1331897.1331901
