Magis
Magis is a formational program for first year
students to explore their call to become persons with and for others.
Magis challenges first year students to:
• Engage in direct service to Philadelphia/Camden community organizations, agencies, and schools.
• Learn about issues of social justice in local and global communities. Advocate for people who experiencing injustice in these communities.
• Reflect on their experiences of service and the transformative power of building relationships with people marginalized by our society.
• Build community with one another in the context of the larger University and Philadelphia/Camden communities.
• Engage in activities based on themes of Catholic Social Teaching so as to participate in realizing God’s vision for the world.
