4 Year Plan

It is never too early to start thinking about your career development!  The following chart suggests the actions you should take each year at Saint Joseph’s University. 

FiRST YEAR 

As a first-year student at Saint Joseph’s University, you may be wondering what the Career Development Center can offer you.  In the next four years, you will be learning a great deal both in and out of the classroom.  Upon graduation, you will have several options in your life after Saint Joseph’s.  Perhaps you will embark on a full-time career, or continue on to graduate school, or spend some time as a full-time volunteer.

SOPHOMORES

 As a sophomore at Saint Joseph’s University, you have now had some time to get accustomed to college life.  You have probably declared a major and perhaps have started taking classes in your major.  At the same time, you may not have figured out precisely what you would like to pursue after graduation.

JUNIORS

As a junior at Saint Joseph’s University, you may have started to think about your life after graduation.  There are many options available to you—graduate school, full-time work, volunteering, etc.  Now is a great time to think about what you would like to do after graduation so you can put your plans into action as a senior. 

SENIORS

Congratulations!  You have reached your senior year at Saint Joseph’s University.  It is an exciting time—soon you will be graduating and making decisions about your post-graduation plans.  Now is the time to start formulating a plan and putting it to action.  Whether you know what you’d like do after graduation or are just beginning to think about it, our office can help.
