Students will return to their fall 2012 housing assignment for the duration of the spring semester. Personal items may be left in the room/apartment over the winter break period, though we encourage students to take items of value home during the break.
Current sophomore students returning from Study Abroad, Co-Op, Internship, or a Leave of Absence should complete a spring 2013 housing preference form. Additionally any junior or senior with a previously signed 2012-13 housing agreement, returning from Study Abroad, Co-Op, Internship, or a Leave of Absence for the spring semester should also complete a preference form (please click on the link below to complete this form).
SJU offers several housing options for Incoming Transfer Students. Transfer students with freshman or sophomore class standing are required to live in university housing. Transfer juniors and seniors may request university housing provided space is available (we are usually able to accommodate such requests). Transfer students who will be residing in university housing should complete a preference form and a spring housing agreement (both links are provided below) to secure their space.
On-campus housing is available for transfer students and students returning to campus who have not completed a housing agreement (e.g., returning juniors and seniors, etc.). To secure on-campus housing students will need to submit a spring 2013 housing agreement. Please note all housing assignments are made on the basis of the date our office receives the housing agreement, therefore, expedient attention to this form is advised. On November 26, 2012, Residence Life will begin making housing assignments for students with a submitted housing agreement. Students are encouraged to check their MySJU email account for updates on their standing in the assignment process.

NOTE: Your completed housing agreement is a binding agreement between you and the university for the duration of the spring 2013 semester. Therefore, residents are responsible for all costs associated with housing unless they have been officially released from their agreement by the Associate Director of Residence Life. Requests to be released from the agreement must be submitted by the deadline published in the 2012-13 Student Handbook, and will be granted only for extraordinary circumstances, and may result in a penalty fee.
Spring Semester Early Arrival
Students may also submit a request to return early for the Spring 2013 semester. Requests will only be granted for extraordinary or school-related purposes. Early arrival requests may be accommodated for arrivals after 10:00am on Thursday, January 10th. Please click on the link below to request an early arrival accommodation. All requests must be received by 5:00pm on Friday, January 4, 2013.

Students who are approved for an Early Arrival will receive a notification of their approval in an email. Any student who is found in the building during the duration of the break without approval are in violation of Community Standards and may face sanctions and/or fines.
