Summer 2013 Housing Information

Summer housing is available in on campus for students taking summer school classes, participating in the Summer Scholars Program or working in a summer Co-Op. Because of the varying summer course options, there are a number of term options to select from.

Housing Accommodations:

Lannon Hall is available for all summer sessions to upperclassman students taking summer school or a summer Co-Op. Students participating in the Summer Scholars program will be administratively assigned to St. Mary's Hall for the course of their summer program. Summer Hawks and Passport students (new freshmen) will be assigned to McShain Hall for the term for which they are registered.

Summer Housing Application:

Summer Housing Agreements are avaialble through the Housing Application Portal on MySJU.  To submit an application click on the "Housing Application" link located in the 'Residence Life' information box in MySJU. You will be asked to select a specific summer term - please review the following term information to see which option might be best for you. Summer Housing Assignments will be processed on a rolling basis - you will receive a notification of your assignment via email. If you wish to request a specific roommate(s), please send your roommate request information to Kelly Bersett at kbersett@sju.edu.

If you are not a current SJU student, but are interested in on-campus housing for summer courses, please submit a completed Summer Housing Agreement to the Office of Residence Life. You may email a scanned copy to reslife@sju.edu or fax your agreement to (610)660-1065.

NOTE:  Your completed housing agreement is a binding agreement between you and the university for the duration of the summer session selected.  Therefore, residents are responsible for all costs associated with housing unless they have been officially released from their agreement by the Associate Director of Residence Life.  Requests to be released from the agreement must be submitted in writing no later than May 10, 2013, for Summer Session I and June 21, 2013, for Summer Session II. Releases may be granted only for extraordinary circumstances and will result in a penalty fee.

Summer I (3-week session) - May 13 - May 31

- Check-in: Sunday, May 12th, 12:00pm (noon) - 2:00pm, Lannon Lobby

- Check-out: Key returned by 5:00pm on Friday, May 31st

- Cost: $965.00

Summer I (6-week session) - May 13 - June 20

(Lannon Hall)

- Check-in: Sunday, May 12th, 12:00pm (noon) - 2:00pm, Lannon Lobby

- Check-out: Key returned by 5:00pm on Friday, June 21st

- Cost: $1,975.00

Co-Op (8-week session) - May 13 - July 11

(Lannon Hall)


- Check-in: Sunday, May 12th, 12:00pm (noon) - 2:00pm, Lannon Lobby

- Check-out: Key returned by 5:00pm on Friday, July 12th

- Cost: $2,625.00

Summer II/Passport - June 24 - August 1 (6-week session)

(McShain Hall - New Hawks; Lannon Hall - Upperclassmen)

- Check-in: Sunday, June 23rd, 10:00am - 12:00pm (noon), McShain Lobby

- Check-out: Key returned by 5:00pm on Friday, August 2nd

- Cost: $1,640.00 (McShain); $1,975.00 (Lannon)

Summer I & II (Consecutively; 12-week session)

(Lannon Hall - Upperclassmen)

- Check-in: Sunday, May 12th, 12:00pm (noon) - 2:00pm, Lannon Lobby

- Check-out: Key returned by 5:00pm on Friday, August 2nd

- Cost: $3,950.00
