Transfer Articulation Agreements

 

Saint Joseph’s University has partnered with community colleges in order to make the experience for transfer students more seamless and efficient. These partnerships allow students to acquire an Associates Degree and then transfer to SJU in the fall of their junior year and complete a Bachelors Degree. Currently SJU holds partnerships with:

Burlington County Community College and Saint Joseph's University:

This Guaranteed Admission Transfer Agreement allows students at BCC to complete their Associates Degree in certain majors and then ensures a seamless Transfer to SJU to complete their Bachelors in 4 years.  Students must have earned a cumulative GPA of a 2.70 or higher at the time of transfer in order to participate in this program.  The majors that allow seamless transfer to SJU are listed below:

  • Accounting
  • Biology
  • Business Administration
  • Chemistry
  • Finance
  • Marketing
  • Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Marketing
  • Sociology

Students who wish to take part in this program must complete all courses and their Associates Degree at BCC and must sign the Intent to Transfer form before they have registered for their 30th credit at BCC.  This program includes a specific academic plan developed by SJU and BCC for each major listed above, and students should contact the Burlington County College Transfer Center and meet with an Advisor to discuss the criteria and course sequences outlined in the Agreement. This Agreement includes a checklist of core courses that will transfer seamlessly to SJU from BCC if the student earns a grade of C or better; please contact the Transfer Center at BCC for more information.

Delaware County Community College and Saint Joseph's University:

This Dual Admissions Partnership Agreement allows students at Delaware County Community College to complete their associate degree and then Transfer to SJU to complete their bachelor’s.  The following associate degrees are designated as part of the Dual Admissions Agreement:

  • Associate in Science, Behavioral Science
  • Associate in Science, Business Administration (all options)
  • Associate in Arts, Communication Arts (all options)
  • Associate in Science, Computer Information Systems
  • Associate in Arts, Education
  • Associate in Arts, Early Childhood Education
  • Associate in Science, Human Service
  • Associate in Arts, Liberal Arts
  • Associate in Science, Mathematics/Natural Science
  • Associate in Science, Natural Science
  • Associate in Science, Science for Health Professions

Students who wish to take part in this Agreement must achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher within an associate degree program of study.  Any students interested in transferring to any program in the Department of Teacher Education must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher to meet the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s teacher education certification requirement.  All students must sign the Dual Admissions Intent to Enroll Form on or before completing 30 transferable college-level credits at Delaware County Community College. Once a student has completed this form, he or she is strongly encouraged to submit official transcripts from Delaware County Community College and meet with an SJU admissions representative for a transfer evaluation.
