SJU Sorority Life

 

Saint Joseph's University is proud to recognize three sororities on campus: Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Phi and Sigma Sigma Sigma.

 

The Panhellenic Council is the governing body of the sorority system, and falls under the Greek Council.

 

ALPHA GAMMA DELTA

  • Yearly Fashion Show raises nearly $2,000.

  • Sister Meghan Rowe named "Greek Woman of the Year" 2002

  • Sorority received the "Highest GPA" award for the past four semesters.

  • Sister Valerie Desrouleaux is the current Panhellenic Council President.

  • Sisters Kristen Redditt is the current Vice President of Greek Council.

  • Current and past presidents are Amanda Neuber and Tricia Finnegan, respectively.

 

ALPHA PHI

  • Yearly Have a Heart Dance raises funds for the American Heart Association.  Congrats to Queen of Hearts, Rachel Pfeiffenberger.

  • Annual Volleyball Tournament raised funds for the September 11th Fund.

  • Sister Courtney Piper won the award for highest GPA in 2001.

  • Outstanding Alumni Advisor 2001 - Diane Hoey

  • New Member Recruitment Award 2001

  • Ritual Award 2001

  • Current and past presidents are Jamie Frost and Rachel Pfeiffenberger, respectively.

 

SIGMA SIGMA SIGMA

  • Raise funds annually through Mr. SJU contest held in April.  Congratulations to Mr. SJU 2002 - J. Dillon Collins.

  • Sister Jen Christiansen is the Executive Director of Up Til Dawn for 2003.

  • Yearly Sigma Bunny Bash brings in nearly 1,000 local children to play games, activities, and have fun on campus.

  • Service and Support of Others Award 2001

  • Outstanding Sorority President (Terese Cirilli) 2001

  • Current and past presidents are Jen Christiansen and Kari Mical, respectively.
