Q. How can I do an exact title, series title or author search?
A. Use this format:

Q. How do I narrow my search?
A. Try with your search terms enclosed in quotes

your search will not include figure, figural, etc.

Q. What does it mean when I get a "time out" message?
A.

Q. Why did I lose my search box or Discover word cloud?
A. The "Back" or "Forward" buttons in the Firefox browser do not function properly with the Discovery Catalog.

Q. When should I use the Classic Catalog instead of the Discovery Catalog?
A. Use the Classic Catalog

  • When you need to know whether a particular journal is in the Library.
  • When you want to save your search results in a list to be e-mailed.
  • When you want to check your library account, for example, to renew a book.
  • If you haven't found the exact item you are looking for.
  • To check for Course Reserves.
